Now that Fred Thompson has dropped out of the race I have decided that I am going to vote for Ron Paul. That may surprise some of you, but I can explain.

I have never agreed with Ron Paul on the issue of Iraq or fighting extreme Muslim terrorism. However I do agree with Ron Paul on basically every other issue. He seems to be the only candidate that would stop or slow down our country's movement towards Marxism. I am willing to sacrifice and be more vulnerable to attacks than to let our country destroy itself with Marxism.

Every other candidate has ideas that would make for a larger government and more bureaucracy. Ron Paul will stop or at least slow down new laws that will bring about bigger government and socialistic programs. If elected President he would at least force a 4 year debate of government having a limited role.

You see Congress and the Media cannot ignore the President. They can belittle him, but they cannot ignore him. Ron Paul has the closest view of a founding father and I believe he is the only candidate that has actually read The Federalist Papers and The Constitution.

Foreign enemies are not our biggest enemies or threat. It is our slow slide towards Marxism and Socialism that will destroy this great nation. The dependence on other people's money is a crazy addiction that way too many people have in the USA. It is not the role of the government to take care of you from the cradle to the grave.

Do you want individual freedoms? Do you want the government controlling every aspect of you life? The more money that you accept from the government, the more control they will take over your life. Government need a limited role and I am ready to see the control back at the local level.

Ron Paul will be good for the USA. All the other Republican candidates give lip service to limited government and spending, but they all have contrary voting records. Huckabee and McCain have the worst records. Ron Paul will not compromise our freedoms like the others will. Yes, we may get attacked or threatened by an enemy, but I believe Ron Paul would wake up on that issue at that point.

Ron Paul is the best candidate and the smartest candidate. I will not throw my support to someone just because I think that they can win. That compromises every thing that I stand for. The primaries are where I can speak my voice. I will not vote for someone just because they use the platform of being an evangelical. That can be dangerous to vote someone like that. I will explain that in a later post.

I will be voting for Ron Paul on Super Tuesday. I hope that everyone researches the candidates and picks the one that aligns most closely to the values and beliefs. If you go and vote without researching just because you think it is your patriotic duty, stay home. You are doing more harm than good.

This is my first post and I am saying hello to the world of Blogging. I am going to use this blog to share my thoughts and feelings. I will share my view points and sometimes you may not agree with me. That is ok, everyone is unique cause that is the way our Creator made us. I will also share information from time to time about things that I care about that no one else may care about.

You may be wondering why the grey and rain on my blog. . . Well Nashville looks like that from January until about March. Cloudy, rain, cold and sometimes snow. So that's why :-)

This blog in no way reflects the view points or opinions of any organization or company I may belong to. These are my personal thoughts.

Enjoy.
